I’ve been a good mum all year. I’ve cooked, cleaned, cuddled my two children on demand and even hubby wasn’t forgotten. I’ve handled with aplomb the community bathroom time, interrupted sleep, doing every kids activity within a 50km radius and fixing Spiderman suits with safety pins and duct tape.
I was hoping you could spread my list out over several Christmases, since I had to write this letter on the back of a Tim’s Handyman Services flyer whilst sitting beside a pool waiting for swimming lessons. Who knows when I’ll find a chance to write another in the next 17 years.
Here are my Christmas wishes … and (if it is not too bold) I have some big ticket items this year.
A full night’s sleep, fingerprint resistant glass, a self- vacuuming car, and a television that can play the Wiggles in a frequency only audible to dogs and kids under 6.
If you can rustle one up a magic wardrobe that has a secret bathroom in the back so I can have a shower and clean my teeth in one go, that would be divine.
A shopping trip by myself to find three pairs of pants that are comfortable, stain proof and so stylish they are still fabulicious in 5 years.
A recording of the Wiggles singing “Don’t jump on the lounge” because my voice is definitely not in a frequency that registers.
Well, Santa, the boys are out of the pool and drying themselves like a shaggy dog. I would be drier if I went for a swim myself and Tim’s Handyman Flyer is too wet to write anymore.
Have a safe trip. Help yourself to the biccies and beer but remember it’s 0.05 in Australia. There will be carrots and water ‘round the back for the reindeers.
P.S. I am happy to trade all the above for a joy filled Christmas with love ones and to see the beaming face of excited children because Santa has been.
P.P.S If you did want to leave a little something, one of these gifts from Happy Skincare and 30 minutes and I will be forever grateful
P.P.P.S We’re not affiliated with Tim the Handyman in any way!
